Taste of Hoover
Thursday, October 5 from 5-9pm, at Aldridge Gardens.
The Taste of Hoover celebrates the variety of culinary styles found throughout our city. Enjoy an autumn evening of sampling delicious dishes from some of Hoover’s best restaurants and Aldridge Gardens’ preferred caterers while listening to live entertainment.
Bluff Park Art Show
Saturday, October 7 from 9am-5pm. This year’s event returns to the Bluff Park community park pavilion, 517 Cloudland Drive.
Artists from around the country gather to present their exhibits at this annual art festival, always held on the first Saturday in October. All proceeds benefit Hoover’s Bluff Park Art Association.
Celebrate Hoover Day
This April Event is held at Veterans Park on Valleydale Road in Hoover. This great event includes live music, a car show, local business exhibitors, kids’ games, carnival rides, balloon artists, face painting, Police and Fire Department exhibits, and you get to enjoy the World’s Largest Apple Pie.
Christmas Tree Lighting
This November event includes elementary school choirs, pictures with Santa, Commemorative Ornaments, and Hot Chocolate.
Hay Hoover- Hayride and Family Night
Saturday, October 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Our city’s family fall fun festival is held annually at Veterans Park and features costumes, hayrides, face painting, balloon artists and local businesses providing candy. Come and have fun!
Hope for Autumn Crayfish Boil
The annual April Event by Hope for Autumn Foundation is one of the Hoover’s most popular family events! With your ticket you can enjoy all you can eat crawfish prepared by Louisiana native John Hein, hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings, kids activities including bounce houses, balloon animals, face painting, a kids’ DJ dance party, along with live music. Proceeds from the event benefit families battling childhood cancer in Hoover and funds local childhood cancer research.
Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast
This May Event features a morning of prayer and fellowship, it includes an inspirational message along with a discussion of our city.
Patriots Day Ceremony
Join us as we Honor and Celebrate the memory of those lost on 9/11. The Patriots Day Celebration is held at Hoover Fire Station #2.
Regions Traditions Golf Tournament
The May Champions Tour Event is held at Hoover’s Greystone Country Club. Watch some of the greats of the game along with the popular Celebrity Pro-Am that precedes the Tournament.
SEC Baseball Tournament
The SEC’s Tournament in May has become a Classic here in Hoover for over 20 years and has crowds in excess of 100,000 fans. The top 12 baseball teams from the Southeastern Conference Compete in this great Spring Baseball Tournament.
