Hoover has many great spaces and places for individuals and groups to enjoy an active lifestyle, including hiking, climbing, kayaking, and so much more!
Here are some of our favorite places to stay active:
Veterans Park is the place to be with family and friends on a sunny summer day. It is free with
available restrooms and parking, two well-kept playgrounds, three beach volleyball courts,
two pavilions, fields for picnics and games, a small site to hammock, a one acre pond, a 5K
cross country trail, and a large veterans’ memorial.

The playground and splashpad located at the Hoover Met Complex are unique because they
are both free to the public and uniquely designed for those with disabilities and mobility issues
to enjoy with others. It has parking, restrooms, a family restroom, charging stations, a play space,
and a fun 15000 by 7000 square-foot splash pad to enjoy.
